Delaware Seashore State Park
Delaware Seashore State Park has an opening for a volunteer host for a second
facility under DSSP administration, Holt’s Landing State Park. Position will open in
May 2008 and close at the end of October. Duties will involve entrance fee collection,
limited park maintenance, coordination of remote site tent camping (6 sites), and general
supervision of the Park which is located on the waters of Delaware’s Inland Bay.
Activities include clamming, fishing, crabbing, kayaking and boating. The park has a
picnicking pavilion and a day-use area as well as a 1.7 mile nature trail.
Benefits include a free RV space, free admission to all Delaware State Park facilities,
discount on merchandise purchases, environmental and historical training and an option to
renew for the next year. Hours can be flexible upon agreement with Park Superintendent.
Ideal for retired couple but could be appropriate for a single person with the right
