Lone Oak Campsites
Lone Oak Campsites ( www.loneoakcampsites.com) is the largest private family
campground in Connecticut. We have 500 campsites which are made up of approximately 275
seasonal families who rent for 6 months. The other 225 sites are rented out by the day,
week or month. We offer a extensive recreation program, childrens activities, supervised
programs and kids clubs. We have an adult lounge where adults can enjoy bands or DJ's
every weekend. We provide family entertainment in the lounge, in our recreation hall as
well as at our gazebo. Families can shop in our Market and Deli for supplies or purchase
lunch for the whole family. Our security in the campground is practically 24 hours. We
have security staff patrolling days and evenings, as well as at a gate checking in guests
and assisting our guests and ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our camping
families. Our maintenance department is kept busy with keeping the grounds looking great.
During our peak season, Memorial Day - Labor Day, you may expect 30-40 hours per week. In
the spring and fall you may expect 15-20 hours each week. The schedule will be adjusted
according to our season and position. Flexibility is a plus. Weekends and holidays are job
requirements. We will do our best to accommodate the same days off but the same shifts are
not guaranteed for couples. Lone Oak will provide a campsite with water, electric, sewer,
Wi-Fi, and cable TV in exchange for 10 hours worked per couple per week. Our seasonal site
value is $3100. The value of a work camper site will be $1000 for 2006. After the work
camper site is paid for, you will receive your regular wages.
Benefits
25% discount in our Deli, the first $150.00 of electric use is free, the first $75.00
worth of propane refills are free. You are welcome to use all of the amenities of the
park. We will accept well behaved pets. Job openings are a starting wage of $8.00 per
hour.
